MVP Joseph Santoro led the team in hitting with a .523 avg., 6 doubles, 8 runs scored and 10 RBIs. He played shortstop, centerfield and started 5 games on the mound – pitching 34 innings – a truly outstanding season.
Senior Andres Ortiz hit .361 and played a strong left field and Senior Kieran McGuire hit .323 while playing second, short and third. Next year’s team will be led by Junior Matthew Dybus who hit .371 with 10 runs scored. We appreciate and are grateful for the presence of alumni support.

Junior Varsity
The 2010 JV baseball season was a tough learning lesson. The bright spots of the year were our MVP of the year, Sophomore Chris West, who as a starting pitcher had a total of 55 strikeouts in 5 starts and our hitting came from a freshman who has a bright future at Cathedral Prep, Ryan Quinn, who led the team batting .468 and had an OBP of .732 doing all this while striking out 48 in 3 starts on the mound. All in all, a challenging season where our kids learned how to bounce back and compete after some tough games.

Varsity

The Varsity Boys Basketball Team had a challenging year on the court this year. With only one returning senior and a core of sophomores the young men competed valiantly against a very strong CHSAA B division. Graduating Senior and MVP Chris Liander led the team in most categories and is preparing to attend St. Francis College in the fall. The team is looking forward to the benefit of a year of varsity experience as they will return six juniors in September. Please come out and support our student athletes at our home opener double header on Tuesday November 30th, JV at 4:30 pm and Varsity at 6:00 pm against St. Ann's.

Intramural Basketball 2009-2010 Program
The End of an exciting season of Intramural basketball completed no other way
then an upset in the championship game. After the Lady Bugs lead by the senior
class defeated the faculty and the sophomore lead team the MVP's took care of
the High Light kid's in the semi-finals.

This led us to the Finals which were watched by the entire student body.
The game went back and forth with the MVP's down one to the Senior Lady Bugs
team with a minute left.  The sophomores turn to their star of the day John
Starace who hit a tough Basket to give them a one point lead with thirty seconds
left.  The seniors still had a chance to win but Jordan Nieves came up short as
the horn blew to end the game. The court was then mobbed to congratulate the
MVP's as 2009-2010 Intramural Basketball champions.
So Congratulations to Chris Beetz, John Starace, Eugene Reynolds, Phillip
Reynolds, and Gary Conte for winning the Championship and thanks for all
involved with the games and see you next year!!!!
