Cathedral Preparatory Seminary is the only "day” High School Seminary in the United States. Our students receive a full college preparatory education while discerning a potential vocation to Priesthood. Cathedral has been selected as one of the Top 50 Catholic High Schools in the country by the National Catholic High School Honor Roll, the only school so honored in the entire Brooklyn Diocese.
Join us for an evening of networking with Alumni and friends of Cathedral. We encourage you to invite co-workers and friends.
Mission of the St. Matthew Society:
The St. Matthew Society believes that any young man who demonstrates a serious interest in a vocation to Priesthood should not be deprived of a seat at Cathedral because they cannot afford the tuition. Yet 20% or more of our students are in need of scholarship or tuition assistance funds. Some examples of Cathedral Prep students who could use financial help:
o Luis is a junior and has a 91 average. He is a National Honor Society member, a tutor, and plays on the baseball team. His family qualifies for public assistance because of their yearly income. Cathedral currently does not have the funds to provide tuition assistance for Luis.
o Matthew is a senior and serves in the Chapel as a sacristan and altar server. He is also a member of the soccer team. He has an average of 82 in his grades. Cathedral provides limited tuition assistance, but Matthew could use more financial help since his family‘s income qualifies them for public assistance.
Please join us for Mass, a fantastic meal, networking with alumni and friends of Cathedral, and a discussion of how you can assist Cathedral and its students.
If you cannot attend, please prayerfully consider participating by making a donation to the Cathedral Preparatory Seminary Scholarship and Tuition Assistance Fund. Donations can be sent to the school, or made on-line (select 'Donations' on the main menu above)
