It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hank Doherty on Tuesday, February 23rd. Hank was on the faculty at Cathedral Prep, Elmhurst from 1967 through 1980. He will be greatly missed!
I echo my classmates from "74" as well as John Hayes. Hank Doherty was a man of Grace and Compassion, Wit and Wisdom, Faith and Friendship. He was as Christ.
I told my parish on Sunday when I was leaving to come to the funeral at St. Kevin's that any example of priestly character that I exhibit, they can thank two men Ed. Troike and Hank Doherty.
Eternal Rest Grant Unto Him O Lord and may the Angels and Saints welcome him to paradise. Heaven's gain is truly the loss of all of us!
The Reverend Canon Kevin Francis Donlon, Class of 1974
A mentor and a good friend - Hank always gave me sound advice and help when I needed it. I will miss him.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Hank's passing. I am extremely fortunate to have known him during those critical years. He was an extraordinary man and his example taught us how to be better men.
