Trudden tosses 1 hitter in CHSAA League opener

The Cathedral Prep Varsity Baseball team won their CHSAA League opener vs. Sacred Heart 6-3. Steven Trudden pitched 6 and 2/3 - no hit baseball - finishing the game with an impressive 7 inning, one hit, 14 strikeout complete game performance.

Andres Ortiz and Joseph Santoro led the offense. Andres collected three hits, scored three runs and added a stolen base. Joseph had 2 hits and 3 RBI’s. Steven Trudden added 2 RBI’s; Matt Flood had a hit, a RBI and a run scored. Kiren McGuire had a hit, scored a run and a stolen base.

The Varsity’s next game is Wednesday April 21 vs. Rice at Juniper Park at 4:00pm
